Music is there in the song. However, more and more so, music of honor and/or purpose is not turning up in the song. Rather than being an indictment, this is the observation. No one can be told how to make music, or even how to write a song for that matter. I don't begrudge anyone for not writing songs of honor, since if they aren't writing them to begin with, they are thus unable or unwilling to. Do we need to force someone to write a song of purpose? When I was a kid, I used to collect magazines. Mostly based on who was on the cover, or how many posters I could cut out and tape to my walls. I chose from Bass Player, Guitar Player, 16 Magazine, Billboard, Interview....the list goes on. While moving recently I found a couple of old magazines and saw this article that I obviously cut out and saved for the fact I was a big Pink Floyd fan. Not even sure what magazine it was from but it read:
